Drawn glass
Stained Glass Windows: Managing Environmental Deterioration, published by Historic England in 2020, describes drawn glass as an: ‘Industrial method of producing sheet glass, in which the molten glass is drawn vertically through a die, in a continuous sheet, and then cut and cooled; in early days, this often gave sheets imperfections such as waves, bubbles or inclusions. Produced in England from 1919, but eventually superseded by new methods (particularly float glass).’
